OUR HEARTS ARE WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL AND ALL THE VICTIMS OF CONFLICT

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים

Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Ruler of the Universe, Who frees the captives.

From “Mishkan T’filah / A Reform Siddur” CCAR, New York 2007, p.161

Baruch atah, Adonai, haporës sukat shalom alëinu v’al kōl amo Yisraël v’al Yerushaláyim.

GIVE US A PLACE TO REST, Adonai, our God. Bring us into shelter…. Spread over us Your shelter of peace, over all we love – over our Jerusalem and Yours.

Shazoom – Erev Shabbat Service

Time: Oct 16, 2026 06:30 PM Arizona]

YAHRZEITS/ANYOS

This coming week, 13 Cheshvan through 19 Cheshvan, we lovingly remember:

Susan Robinson

First Yahrzeit

Friend of Mike Jackson

Robert E. Levine

Father of Lisa and Joe, husband of Diane Levine z”l

Judson Kaplan

Husband of Naomi Kaplan

Susan Mallitz

Mother of Cindy Mallitz z”l

Those victims of the Sho’ah (Holocaust) who died at this time of year.

“ZICHRONAM LIV’RACHAH” – MAY THEIR MEMORIES BE FOR BLESSING.

From URJ https://urj.org/what-we-believe/resolutions/refugees-and-sanctuary

We are instructed in the Holiness Code (Lev. 19:33) to take to heart the lessons of our own history by treating aliens in our midst with justice and compassion. “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall do him no wrong. The stranger who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.” Judaism affirms the supreme value of human life and the equal dignity of every human being. The prophets of Israel bade us to pursue justice, seek peace, and build a society of loving-kindness among all of God’s creatures.

WEEKDY T’FILAH

From “Mishkan T’filah / A Reform Siddur”:

R’FUAH p.86

HEAL US, Adonai, and let us be healed; save us and let us be saved. Grant full healing to our every illness, wound and pain. Blessed are You, Adonai, who heals the sick.

L’shalom,

-Ruben
